Karen, from Buitengewoon Afscheid,
is a funeral attendant based in Rotterdam, who offers a modern, creative and sustainable goodbye.
She asked me to make illustrations to accompany short texts she has written about loss.
The illustrations are used to post on social media, and to start the conversation about death and the loss and grieve that comes with it.
