Hi!
My name is Yara Ruby and I’m an illustrator who works and lives in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
As a little girl I started with drawing in the studio of my mom in our garden. This is the place where my love for drawing was born and from then on I knew I wanted to make drawings for a living.
You can recognize my illustrations by the crunchy pencil-drawn lines, combined with bright colors and minimal shapes.
I likes to define my work as cute, but not too cute, I’m always looking for that cheeky, humorous twist.
I’m working on projects in my shared studio Atelier Abne, except on fridays, this day I’m an arts & crafts teacher for children at Atelier de Keet.
